Pentax K20D Digital SLR |

1) Will the price of Pentax k10d drop further (how much will it drop to?)

2)Will it overtake Pentax k10d , and make pentax k10d not worth buying?

3)Is Pentax k20d much better than Pentax k10d?

I am just going to answer in general rather than specifically about the Pentax models involved.

1. Yes the price for the "old" model will go down. How much I don't know, just give it some time and see.

2. Funny isn't it how each new camera is the greatest thing to have ever been created, then a year later an "update" comes out, and all of a sudden the "old" model is a piece of crap? Of course, in reality, it is NOT. The manufacturers want you to THINK you just HAVE to have the new camera, that is how they keep duping suckers into throwing their money away on new cameras, when they really need to be working on becoming a better photographer with what they have. The mentality is, "oh… I'll just get a new camera, then my photos will be great, even though they stink now". So the k10d is certainly worth buying, especially after the price drops.

3. Is the k20d that much "better" than the k10d? It just depends on you I suppose. Do you REALLY feel you are so good at photography that the "old" k10d is going to hold you back and really make your photography suffer? Is the k20d going to magically make everything all right?

I'm still using my "old outdated" Canon 1Ds I bought a few years ago. I average a few thousand dollars a month with it on wedding photography. Funny, not one single client has ever said to me…. "gee, we don't like our photos because you are not using the latest and greatest camera".

Remember, the PHOTOGRAPHER makes the photo, the camera is only a tool.
